Weekend

Saturday, I went to Red Lobster to celebrate Dorelie's birthday with her and some other friends. Susan drove down from Tulsa that night and hung out with us at Dorelie's after we got back from Red Lobster. We played some games and just hung out! I will try to put pics on here of that when I get home.

Sunday, I went with Susan and her mom to the Weenie dog races at Remington park. It was hilarious watching a bunch of people running trying to get their dog's to chase them so they could win the race!! Aspen came with us to watch and was one of the biggest dogs there! She didn't mind though. Here is a link for the party pic that was taken of me and Aspen: Dachshund Dash

This weekend, we are hoping to go to Talequah to float the Illinois river. We went for Memorial day weekend a couple years ago and had a blast. Eric will hopefully be done with his deployment then, so he should be able to come.

I have begun the process of applying to OU for the Spring semester. I wasn't able to make the deadline for the fall semester, but I might take some classes at UCO in the fall anyways. I am going to try to take enough classes to build up a portfolio so that I can get into graduate school and get a Masters in Interior Design. I am just taking it one step at a time, so we will just have to wait and see!!

Mother's Day weekend

Well, it was just me this weekend since Eric is still deployed, but it wasn't too bad! On Saturday I went to Chelinos Mexican Restaurant in Bricktown to celebrate Tarah's graduation from nursing school. Her whole family, as well as Jeff's were all there and Fransen came too!! It was great to see them all again! After Chelinos, we went to the OU vs OSU baseball game. We didn't stay the for the whole game, but OU wasn't looking so hot when we left.

On Sunday, I just hung out in the afternoon and took Aspen for a walk. That evening, I went to my sis's house to celebrate mother's day with my fam. I only took one pic, but I will try to post it when I get home.

I was able to delete a bunch of old blogs from 2003-2004(don't worry, I saved them on a word document on my computer!), so there is room for me to add pictures to my blogs now. I went back and added a few pictures to some older posts that I wasn't able to before, so you can check those out: Weekend(May 8th), Weekend(May 1st)

Epiphany

Okay, so I've had a few bad days at work recently and have decided that it just isn't working out for me. I'm not learning anything and no one is teaching me anything, so the experience I am getting is something that can only go on paper and not be useful in the real world. I just feel stuck, like I'm not going anywhere and so I've decided to go back to school. I really want to get another degree, but this time in interior design. I am really excited about it, but also pretty nervous because I will be jumping back into something that I haven't done in 3 years!! It is something I've thought about doing for several years, but didn't really get the push until I had these bad days and realized I was going nowhere at the job I'm at right now. Sure, it's interesting, but I am so much more excited about interior design and really think I need to go with that! I am still in the process of figuring out where, when, and how, but hopefully I will have some answers soon that I can share with everyone. Until then, wish me luck!!

Weekend

Okay, so I tried to post some pictures on that last post, but I think the server is getting to full, so I might just have to look into buying my own domain. We will see though. I will just post them like I do all the rest. I did post pictures of the change of command ceremony dinner though.

Well, Eric is gone again. He left last week for his deployment so I was on my own this weekend. On Friday, I went to the COW party for Eric's squadron(VQ4). I know it sounds kinda funny if you don't know what it is, but it stands for Commanding Officer's Wife. It was basically a party to welcome the new COW. It was actually a lot of fun! Kate and I went to Dorelie's house afterwards and played a little karaoke.

Saturday, I did a some shopping during the day and then went with Susan, Matt, and a couple of their friends to a Yard Dawgz game that night. We went to Tapwerks after the game and hung out for a while.

That's pretty much the extent of my weekend!

Weekend

This weekend was a lot of fun and I know that Eric is happy to have the huge load of the change of command ceremony taken off his shoulders. He's had to pretty much plan the whole thing, which is a lot like planning a wedding and that can be VERY stressful! The ceremony was Friday morning and that night they had a party at Rocky's downtown. I had to work, so I didn't go to the ceremony, but I went with him that night to Rocky's.

Saturday, we ran errands during the day and then went to a surprise party for our friend, Brian, who is graduating from the police academy. It was at his parent's house up in Edmond and they have 5 acres and a couple horses. It was really nice. My mom, sister, Max, & Zack were all there too. Max just loved petting the horses and riding on the lawn mowers.

Sunday, we went to my parent's house for dinner to celebrate both my sister & Dad's birthdays which are only 2 days apart. I have a couple pictures that I will try to post on the Blogger when I get home. Also, I have posted a few pictures from our trip to Abilene and from my parents' dance competition, but I'm still working on them.

Now that the Change of command ceremony is over, Eric is going to be deploying a lot more. He will probably be leaving pretty soon. I was happy to have him home for the month and 1/2 that I did, but am sad to start the whole deployment schedule again. That's just the way it goes though!
