5 Year Anniversary

We celebrated our 5 year anniversary last night! This was one of the rare ones that we got to celebrate on the actual day since Eric was here! The doc gave me the go ahead to be able to go out to eat, so we made reservations at The Mantle in Bricktown. It was pretty good! We also rented a couple movies and watched them at home. It was really nice to actually get out of the house and do something! I am posting a couple pictures from last night. Well, just when you think things are going pretty smoothly, something has to throw a wrench in it! I was just recently thinking about how lucky I'd been during this whole pregnancy with no morning sickness and just none of the weird and less desirable pregnancy symptoms. I've really just been enjoying the whole thing! Well, knock on wood! It looks like I'll be stuck on bed rest for a while now. It was a little scary at first but after checking things out a little closer, I don't think it's too serious just yet. The doc just wants to take extra precautions. I'm on some meds to control my Braxton Hicks contractions (still not painful) and I've received a couple steroid shots to mature the baby's lungs quicker just in case. It's a bummer being confined to the bed or couch, but whatever I have to do to keep this baby cooking is well worth it! I just wanted to update everyone and let you all know what is going on! I just wanted to post this newest belly pic from last night! If there was any doubt before, there's definitely not now! It looks like it should be about a pound a week from here on out, so I am getting big FAST! I'll probably put another one on the baby's page in a couple days when I'm exactly 24 weeks, so watch for it!

Braxton Hicks

For the past week I've been having tons of Braxton Hicks contractions! I started getting them around 21 weeks, but they were just about 1 a day. Lately though, I've been having more than I can even count. We had it checked out and everything seems to be fine. As the doctor refers to it, I am just one of her "contractors". They are still painless, just a little uncomfortable and they have died down a little as the week has gone by. As long as I keep extra hydrated, it shouldn't be a problem. She also gave me some medicine to take in case they get out of hand again. Anyways, I'm still feeling the baby kick. It started kicking much harder ever since this happened and much more frequent, so it's good to know it's still doing ok in there! It's probably just a little POed that Mommy's belly keeps squishing it! I added a song to the baby's page that I found and thought was really sweet. If you scroll down, you'll see it on the left side, so you can pause it if you don't want to listen. I should be posting new belly pics soon, so keep an eye out for those! Oh, and here's a picture of the crib put together in the nursery. There's still a lot of work we need to do in there though, so it's not done yet!
