School

My first week of school is over and I absolutely LOVE it! I am actually excited about school! I didn't realize that being excited about doing so much work was possible. I think that going back to school is one of the best decisions I have made so far. It is so interesting and I just can't wait to learn more.

As for this weekend, I went to a surprise birthday party for Susan's husband, Matt, on Friday. I took a few pictures and I will try to post one on here when I get home. It turned out great and he never saw it coming, much to Susan's satisfaction! On Saturday I helped with a charity auction that the naval officer's spouse club held. It was interesting! I've never been to an auction before and next time I might actually get up the nerve to bid on some of the stuff. Sunday night, my parents were in another ballroom dancing showcase that I went to. They did awesome! I will try to post pictures of that when I get the chance.

Another Update

Well, I have been working on updating the pictures page and adding new photos, so hopefully they will be posted soon. I start school next week though, so it might still take me a while. I am so excited about school. I went and got one of my books yesterday and got my student ID. Now I am pretty much all set! Eric left for his deployment at the beginning of this week, so he will miss my first week of school. =( I'm a little bummed about that, but that's just the way it goes!

Last Saturday, we went to my sister's baby shower that my mom and I did for her. It turned out really nice! I think everyone had a great time. I took a few pictures which are some of the ones I will hopefully have posted soon.

Sunday Eric and I went and saw Talladega nights which was absolutely hilarious!! I just love Will Ferrelll though! We will definitely be buying that one when it comes out! We also went out to eat at Hideaway pizza. It was nice spending some time with Eric before he left.

Tomorrow morning, my dad will be flying in the Okie Derby which is something he does every year. Eric was hoping to be his co-pilot for it like he has been the last few races, but because of his deployment, he won't be able to. He wasn't too happy about that, but maybe he will get the chance again next year.

Update

Sorry it's taken me a little longer than usual to post an update, but I've been so busy! Friday Nick came over and played video games with Eric while I went to Dorelie's house to chill with the girls (Dorelie and Kate). On Saturday, Eric and I took Max to build a bear to give my sis and Zack some time with the new baby and to do something special for Max since he is no longer the center of attention. Max made a football bear that he named Zack. He really wasn't as interested in the bear as he was in the computers used to make the bear's birth certificate though. We also let him ride on a mechanical fire truck and we watched the fountain shoot water up in the middle of the mall. It was pretty fun! Sunday we went to a cook out at Matt & Colleen's house. They just landscaped their backyard which looked great and gave us some ideas for eventually doing something with ours. Now I am just getting ready for my sister's baby shower this weekend. It should be fun!
