Forever in our thoughts and prayers

A good friend of Eric and mine passed away this past Monday and I wanted to post this blog in memory of him. He was such a good friend to Eric and me and made our time in Corpus Christi worthwhile. He was a thoughtful, intelligent, genuine man and is the one who actually helped me to create this website. We are so happy to have gotten the chance to know Christian and are filled with grief at his passing. Our hearts and prayers go out to Ruthie and the rest of their families. Here is a link to a memorial website created for him by his brother: U.S.N. LT Christian John Hescock Memorial

We love you Christian and will miss and remember you always! Thank you so much for your service to our country!

New York Pictures

Ok, so I finally posted pictures from our trip to New York last March. Here is a link for them: New York

Yesterday, my mom and I went to the State fair. It was a lot of fun! We tried a bunch of food including fried cheese, chocolate dipped frozen cheesecake, and fried oreos! Yum! We also watched a cattle dog herding show where the dog owners had to get their dog to herd 3 cattle through various obstacles using a whistle. It was so fun to watch! The dogs were so similar in looks and mannerisms to Aspen. We also watched Jump the dog show where several rescue dogs performed tricks with Frisbees.

I forgot to mention in my last blog about our labor day weekend. We actually drove to Clovis, NM to surprise my grandma for her 80th birthday! It was the first time Eric had ever been to my birthplace and so of course we had to take him on a tour of all our old houses. We also drove to Red Rock canyon to visit my sister and her family where they were camping. It was a pretty eventful weekend!

That's all for now! Enjoy the pictures finally!

Update

Well, Eric and I haven't been up to a whole lot lately. I haven't really done much job hunting, but have been keeping busy with a lot of projects. I am planning a bachelorette party, baby shower, and trying desperately to catch up on my scrapbook which is like 3 years behind! Oh, and I have been helping my parents design the interior of a house they are having built out on their land. I will try to post a couple pictures of what I've done on it. Anyways, Eric and I are planing a trip to Colorado at the end of this month as long as Eric's schedule allows, so we are excited about that! Keep your fingers crossed that nothing gets in the way of our vacation(the Navy has a way of making last minute plans!). That's really it for now! Sorry the pictures are still behind! I'll try to start working on getting the ones up from our NY vacation soon! Take care!
