Update

Yesterday I found out that I will be going full-time at my job. It came just in time for Christmas too which will be really nice. It will also be nice to have something to do all day for when Eric gets deployed.

As far as Eric's deployment schedule goes, he just switched squadrons, so he is having to check into another squadron all over again. He just finished a 2 and 1/2 week process of checking into his old squadron when they informed him that they needed him in the other one. Now he gets to do the whole process again. That means that his deployment schedule might change and he might actually be here for Christmas and the Navy Ball. We will see though.

Last weekend we went to the Octoberfest on base which was pretty interesting. We also went to Eric's Hail and Farewell which is basically where they introduce the new guys in the squadron and say bye to the guys that are leaving. It was a lot of fun. I was able to meet a lot of the wives in his new squadron and they all seem very nice.

Weekend Update

This past weekend was pretty eventful. Saturday night, Eric's dad stopped by on his way to Colorado from Gulfport, Mississippi. His wife lives there and he went to visit her right when the whole Katrina disaster happened. Needless to say, he decided to stay and help her clean up the mess. Luckily her house was in pretty good condition and all of her relatives and friends have been accounted for. We are all very relieved that they were okay.

On Saturday afternoon, we watched the OU game until they really started to lose bad. On a brighter note though, the Broncos won on Sunday AND since Tatum Bell got injured, they resigned Quentin Griffin. That made me very happy because that was one of the main reasons I enjoyed watching the Broncos so much. I just hope he can prove himself a little better and hold onto the ball. We also cooked out burgers with Eric's dad and a few friends after the game.

Yesterday, we went to the state fair with some friends since it was free for military. I finally got to try the fried snickers and it was definitely worth it! We also rode a few rides. Then we went to a friends house for a surprise dinner for her husband who is getting deployed soon. That's pretty much it for now!

Web site problems

Cox has been having some issues with their server or something, so my website would not work correctly. I think the problem is fixed now, but let me know if something doesn't seem to work right on the website.

Pictures

I finally posted pictures of Adam and Charity's visit. I had to delete several older pictures to make room on the server, but here is the link: Adam and Charitys visit

Labor Day Weekend

We had a pretty laid back Labor Day weekend. My Grandma and Aunt came in to town last Tuesday and we went to my sister's house on Wednesday to celebrate my grandma's birthday. On Thursday, they all came to our house and we went to eat at Ted's. We also took them to both of our work places so they could see what we do. Friday, we hung out with Paul and Dorelie. They finally had their hot tub transferred from their house in New Mexico, so we took advantage of that. On Saturday we watched the OU game at home which was really lame since OU lost to TCU. OU isn't looking so hot this year. Anyways, we cooked out hamburgers with my parents, sister, Max, grandma and Aunt at our house later that evening and played some Texas Hold 'em. Sunday, Eric helped Paul build stairs for their hot tub and Paul and Dorelie cooked us steaks and we hung out in the hot tub again. Yesterday, Eric fixed his flat tires on the 4-wheeler while I worked on my scrapbook. I am over 2 years behind on it, so I am trying to play a little catch-up. I hope you all had a good Labor Day!
