Family Visit

Well, Eric's mom & brothers left this morning from their visit with us =(. We had so much fun while they were here and were sad to see them go. Eric's brothers, Aaron & Adam, arrived late Thursday night and his mom came Friday night. Adam was actually a surprise because we had no idea he was coming. He was a very nice surprise. Eric and his brothers met me for lunch on Friday and pretty much played video games on Eric's new Xbox 360 the rest of the night. Saturday, we went out to my parent's land where we cooked out and rode 4-wheelers most of the day. That night, we rented Memoirs of a Geisha, which I would highly recommend, and ate pizza. We were all pretty pooped from the day's festivities. On Sunday, we went to Celebration Station where we played mini golf, rode bumper boats, and rode go carts. We then went to our favorite snow cone stand, Eskimo Sno, in Norman and had sno cones. Sunday night we went out to eat at the Olive Garden where my parents also joined us, then went back home and watched Vanilla Sky.

I am working on getting some pictures posted, so hopefully by the end of the week, I will have some up!

Easter Weekend

Happy belated Easter to everyone!!
We celebrate Easter with my parents, sis, and Max at my parent's house Sunday night. We had dinner together and watched a movie. Eric and I also planted some flowers in our front yard Sunday morning. We've actually been working on our landscaping in the front yard all weekend and hopefully will be finished in the next few days. Eric got a few more large rocks yesterday to put in the flower beds and we got a bunch of bright colorful flowers that we planted.

Saturday, we went to a ballroom dancing competition that my parents competed in. It was pretty fun to watch. I took a ton of pics and will post them at some point. I am getting behind on posting pictures, but we have a lot going on in the next couple of weeks. There is a big change of command ceremony that Eric has been putting together for work and the formal dinner for it is tonight. The actual ceremony isn't until next week though. Also, Eric's mom and brother will be visiting us this weekend and we will be celebrating Eric's birthday just a little bit early with them. So, I will apologize in advance for not posting pictures in a very timely fashion, but there will be a lot to post coming up very soon!

There isn't much to report about Friday night. We just hung out with Paul and Dorelie for a while Friday evening and that's about it!

Abilene

This weekend, Eric and I went to Abilene, Tx to visit our friends, Jeff & Kris. I got off work a little early on Friday and we left that afternoon. We had a great time! It was really good to catch up with them. We went to a bonfire party on Friday night at one of their friend's house and on Saturday, they took us on base so that we could see the B-1B that Jeff flies and take a tour of it. That night, we went miniature golfing and then to another one of their friend's house where we hung out in the hot tub. Aspen had a great time too because she got to play with her most favorite friend in the whole world, Chex. She had so much fun that she was completely tuckered out and slept the entire way home on Sunday as well as the rest of the day. I took some pictures and will post them as soon as I get the chance.

Weekend

Well, this weekend wasn't too eventful. On Friday, we pretty much just kicked back at home and hung out. On Saturday, I went to this thing called a Silver Tea Party that was basically thanking and telling the Commanding Officer's Wife(COW) bye. It was at Bahama Breeze, so of course I enjoyed that! It was pretty interesting. On Sunday, we ran a bunch of errands and Eric spent most of the day trying to fashion his own "poor man's" sprinkler system. He really gets into this whole lawn watering thing. I can't really complain though because he does a good job and he is trying to make it easier for me for when he deploys. Also, my parents, Kasey, and Max came over and we cooked out that night. Other than that, there isn't much else new. We are still working on setting up our trip to Europe, but haven't booked it for sure yet.
