Florida

We just got back from a week long trip to Florida. Eric had to do some survival training for work and we have friends in the Pensacola area, so we decided to make a little vacation out of it. Luke went on his first plane ride, saw the beach for the first time, and even got his first tooth while we were there! He did awesome on the plane! He slept on the entire connecting flight there, and half of it on the way back. The rest of the time, he talked non-stop and looked out the window. He LOVED the beach and the sand. We are thinking we might need to get him his own sand box now! We all had a lot of fun visiting with our friends, wake boarding, and even surfing behind their boat! Also, the day we got back, Luke decided to walk about 4 or 5 steps completely on his own at Nana's when we went to pick up Aspen. He has done it several times since and I am hoping to catch it on tape soon so I can post it. We kind of have to trick him by walking around holding one of his hands and then slowly letting go. He keeps walking without even realizing he's doing it! Here are a few pics from our trip:

Eric's 2nd Autocross

Here's a little video and a picture from Eric's second autocross race that he did this past Sunday. He got 2nd place out of 15! I think that's pretty darn good for only his second time out!

10 Months old!!

Luke turned 10 months old yesterday! This has been such a fun month! Luke is now cruising all over the place, crawling like a normal baby although it's only to get someplace where he can pull up, pushing around his push toy, standing by himself while waving his arms all around for seconds on end, taking steps by himself, fake laughing, mimicking, and saying ma ma and da da at the appropriate times! To quote Pinocchio, he's almost a "real boy" now instead of a little baby! He's also working on some teeth finally! They still aren't in yet, but he's got some buds forming on his gums. He is getting close to walking, but didn't quite make the 10 month mark! I bet it won't take much longer though! I have a ton of videos to post, so here they go:

Luke Walking

Luke discovered that it works better to walk with his push toy from the front instead of the back! I'm taking bets on when he will be walking! Be sure to post your prediction on the poll to the left!
