Update

I am now almost 6 mos(24 weeks) along and feeling completely unprepared. With only 4 months to go, I have no idea how I will be able to get everything done that needs to be done. I would love for Luke to be in a toddler bed, at least THINKING about potty training, have 2 new rooms set up (Luke's big boy room and the baby room), and have some sort of plan for the birth as well as a hospital bag prepared, but don't see any of it happening anytime soon! It just seems like I was so much more prepared the first time around! I guess with a very active 1 year old, things just don't happen the way they did before! Oh, and did I mention we are still going back and forth on baby names?? Hopefully we don't end up with a nameless baby!

As for Luke, what a difference 1 month makes!! He knows sooo much now! He really repeats EVERYTHING! It's funny the things he picks up! My favorite words he says lately are "beep beep", "happy", "heart", "Yea"(with both hands stretched in the air), "shoes", and "socks". It was cute the other day when we were driving and he heard a horn and shouted, "beep beep!" He's also been putting 2 words together such as "bye bye dada" and "up pease". He also knows where his nose, eyes, and head are! When you ask him to do something, he actually does it, well, when he wants to! At least he knows what I mean! He is also refusing to eat unless he is allowed to do it completely on his own and, for the most part, he can! It's pretty exciting to have an almost big boy that can actually do stuff on his own especially with a new little one on the way!

Luke's new favorite game #2

So Luke recently discovered the light switch and is now obsessed!! I've been trying to let him help me do everything, turn on and off lights, flush toilet, close doors, put clothes in the washer/dryer, etc., but the light switch seems to be a big hit! He walks around the house looking for them and when he finds one, stops underneath it and shouts, "Pease, Pease!" He gets pretty frustrated when we don't pick him up right away and let him flip it on and off, so one night, we actually put him in his high chair, scooted him up to a light switch, and let him go crazy! I'm telling you, this kid is a nut!!! I wouldn't have it any other way though! I'd be a little worried if our kid didn't get any of our weird genes! Here's a picture:

Luke's new favorite game

Luke has a new game that Eric and I are not too super thrilled about. It's called, lead Mommy and Daddy around the house until they can not stand it anymore! He will come up to us and very politely grab our finger saying, "Pease, Pease", and if you do not get up immediately with him and let him lead you around the house, the pleases get a little less polite! If we are both home, he will get one of us, then go and beg the other one until we are both on his "leash". He is not satisfied until he has us both! Then it takes a LOT to get him to stop! It's been pretty difficult to get anything done around the house lately! The only time this game is beneficial is when we go to the store and he actually LIKES to hold our hand! I just thought I would share in case anyone else out there would like to come play a fun game with the little man and give us a break!
