Luke Playing

I just thought I would post this video of Luke playing. I know I've said it already, but he is soooo brave!! He's been letting go of stuff a lot more when he's standing up. He also LOVES looking at himself in the mirror as you will see!

Sea World!

We made a last-minute decision to go to Sea World for Memorial Day weekend and took off on Saturday morning. As Eric says, we packed up the family truckster and headed to Sea World! It was an 8 hour drive to San Antonio, but Luke did great! He didn't quite get enough exercise or stimulation being stuck in his car seat all day and so decided to be wide awake around 12:30 the next morning! For the first time ever, Eric had to drive him around to get him to fall back asleep! By around 3:00am, we were finally all able to catch some z's. We had a nice dinner on the river walk Saturday night and then headed to Sea World on Sunday morning. Luke LOVED watching all the shows! He wasn't too sure about the kiddie pool, but I'm sure he will love swimming by the end of summer! We all had a really great time! Aside from the dead car battery on the way home, it was a very successful venture! Here's some pics from our trip:

Mother's Day

Sorry I'm a little late writing about this! Eric and Luke got me some roller blades for Mother's Day and the plan was to go out to Lake Hefner and try them out, but we got rained out. We ended up hanging out at the house and since Luke took awesome naps, we were able to watch a couple movies. We postponed the roller blading to the next weekend and had an awesome time! The weather was perfect! The only hitch was that Aspen wore out too early again and Eric had to go back and get the jeep to pick us up! We've really got to get her into better shape! Here's a couple photos:

8 months old!!

Luke is 8 months old today! Although he hasn't hit anymore major milestones yet, he's getting close! Within the last week he has become much more brave! When standing up holding onto a toy, he will now move over to another nearby toy and has even stood for about a second or so without holding onto anything! I wouldn't say he's completely cruising just yet, but getting close. He can pull himself up onto a toy if he is already sitting on an elevated surface i.e. our laps. He rolls all over the floor. When he's on his belly, he likes to use his arms to spin himself around in circles, but hasn't figured out how to go forward yet. He also started whistling! Yeah, that's right, whistling! I have no idea where it came from, he just started puckering his lips and blowing! Here are some of the many faces of Luke:

the "Happy face"

the "Whistling face"

the funny "stick-out-your-tongue face"

Finally caught on tape!

I finally caught Eric talking in his sleep! I'm not sure what he was talking/singing about, but we've been laughing about it ALL morning!!
