Great Weekend!

Hello everyone and happy late Father's Day to all the fathers that read this! We had a very good weekend. On Friday we went to a cook out that our friends, Matt and Colleen, had. It was a lot of fun. We had good food and played some fun games. Eric was happy that he finally got to play some poker. He had been wanting to for a while. On Saturday, we went with Nick to look at landscaping stuff for his house and went with Paul and Dorelie to shop for TVs and entertainment centers. On Sunday, we celebrated Father's Day at our house with my dad, mom, sister, Zack, and Max. We had a cook out and got to break in our new patio furniture and plastic funware. I am very excited too, because Max said my name for the first time yesterday! My sister said he wouldn't stop saying it the whole ride home as he was telling her about how we played cars. He's a cutie! Here is a picture of him yesterday trying to put Eric's shoes on:

Exciting news!

I have some exciting news to report; my sister is now pregnant with her second child! I am really excited for her. She is only about 7 weeks along now and they are not going to find out the sex of the baby, but I just know it's going to be a girl! I thought everyone might like to hear the good news!

Speaking of babies, here is a better picture of the baby birds that I took this weekend:

Also, here are some pictures of the landscaping that we did around the tree in our front yard:

New arrivals!

Well, the baby birds have finally hatched!! They are featherless and so ugly, they're cute. I took a picture, but it is a little hard to tell from it. You can kind of see them. Here it is:

Today when I got off work, we spent the afternoon doing some landscaping around our tree in the front yard. It looks really nice. We bought a huge boulder that we put near the tree. I will post pictures when we are done with it. Also, last weekend our friends that we met in Enid, Kris and Jeff, came up to visit from Texas. We played miniature golf, watched some crazy storms brew from the back yard, and played some karaoke. It was a good time. On Memorial Day weekend, my friend, Susan and her husband, Matt, drove down here from Tulsa. We had a cook out and, you guessed it, played karaoke.

As for work, it is going really good. I really think that research is the right path for me. I got a 3% raise and they are going to give me more hours starting the beginning of July when their grant is renewed. Eric started his training flights last week and has really been enjoying it. It had been a while since he had flown and I think it was really good for him to get up there again. He should be done with those in about a month and then he will be in the squadron and will start his deployment schedule. I'm not looking too forward to that, but I can't complain because it could be a lot worse. Anyways, that's our news for now!
