Any day now . . .

Well I was just told at my doc apt. today that I probably only have about 2 weeks! Holy cow! I'm already 2 cm dilated and 75% effaced! For those of you that don't know what that means, it basically means that I am definitely progressing and getting pretty close, although it is possible to stay that way for a couple weeks. Am I supposed to be ready? Everyone tells me that by this point they are done and ready to have the baby out, but I still think it seems too soon! I guess it's the people that want the baby out that go longer and the ones that don't that go early??!! Anyways, I am freaking, but excited, and at least a little more ready than I was a couple weeks ago!

Baby shower and maternity photo shoot

Today was the baby shower that my sister and two of my best friends since middle school threw for me. It was a lot of fun and they did a great job hosting it! I am posting a couple pictures from it as well as another belly shot. We also had maternity photos taken on Friday and were very happy with the photographer. She was extremely personable and it was great that she came to our own house to shoot them! She posted one of them on her blog and I am posting a link for that too. The one she posted is just of me, but we took several with Eric too. I am really excited to see how those all turned out! Oh, and I promise I am wearing a tube top in the picture! I know it does look a little like she just censored it with the black rectangle, but it's my top! Anyways, enjoy!

Home Free!

Well, I've been off bed rest now for about a week and I'm sore!! My back, feet, and whole body are just not used to carrying all this extra weight around upright! I still can't run any marathons or anything (darn!), but I have been able to do a little shopping. The nursery is really coming around too! It's almost complete except for the baby, of course, and either pink or blue accents. I will post pictures when I feel it is a little closer to being done. I've also been working on my scrapbook like crazy, desperately trying to catch up! I don't think I will ever really catch up considering I am just now working on November of 2004, but I can hopefully get a little closer!

I can't believe how close it's getting! Only a little over a month left! Hopefully the doc will be able to check my progress next week so we can have a little better idea of when little Pidek is planning on making his/her grand appearance!

New Hair

I got my hair cut on Sunday and really like it. What do you think? I wanted shorter bangs, but was wisely instructed that it will be nice to be able to pull my hair back for the birth of little Pidek, so I might get them shorter after the baby's born. I actually decided to cut it since I have a maternity photo shoot scheduled in a couple weeks. I'm pretty excited about it! I just love those artsy black and white belly shots and thought it would be something really neat to have. I found a photographer in a round-about way through other people's blogs and think she will be really great! Here is the website if you want to take a look! First Baby shower

We had our first baby shower yesterday and it was thrown by a few of our military friends. It was a couple's shower and although we scheduled it so Eric could be there, the Navy had other plans as always! Anyways, it was a blast and they did a great job! I still can't believe that it's already time for showers! My sister pointed out just yesterday that I really only have about a month and a half left!!! What?!! How did the time go by so fast?! I think I'm still in shock that I'm pregnant, so how can I already be so close?! Here are a couple pictures from the party:

The Website's New Look

I was really inspired by a lot of the blogs I've been seeing lately that have these super cute backgrounds on them, so I thought it was time for a change! I was feeling pretty creative and bored today, so check out what I decided to do with our new home page! All the pages will eventually be updated with this new look, but considering it took me all day just to do the home page, it might be a while! Let me know what you think!

8 months

So I can't believe I'm already 8 months pregnant! Where did the time go? I've been getting a little nervous with my fast approaching due date because this baby actually has to come out! Eric has been super excited and although I'm excited, I'm also a lot more nervous than him. I'm not so worried about taking care of the tiny baby since I've had plenty of experience, but more so for the huge life change that is about to happen. Aren't the dads usually the ones that have more of those worries?? I know it's going to be an awesome change, but I think it's more of the unknown that's got me freaked out, plus I just haven't had enough time to enjoy this pregnancy without being laid up, oh, and the baby actually has to come out! Holy cow! Well, ready or not, here he or she comes! I added a new belly pic, so check it out!
