New Look

Okay, so if you're reading this, then you can see that I've already started making changes to the website. I know it might look kind of funny right now and certain links may not be working, but eventually it will all be fixed. I will post a blog when I'm done so that if anyone sees anything that needs to be changed, they can let me know then.

This past weekend was pretty lonely without Eric, but I still managed to have some fun. I hung out with Dorelie and one of her friends from work on Friday night. Saturday I went down to Norman to go shopping with Jennifer during the day, and that night I got to go with my parents and Max for his first time at the movie theater to see Cars! It was quite an experience! Max didn't seem to know how to whisper in the theater and my parents had to take him in the lobby a couple times to run off some of that candy he had. It was very cute though and I think he really enjoyed the big trucks and tractors in the movie. We also went to a cook out at some friends of the family's house where they shot off fireworks. Max LOVED the fireworks too!! On Sunday, I went shopping again with Dorelie. You just can't shop too much!!!

Wednesday was Eric and my 3 year anniversary and I got a beautiful flower arrangement sent to me at work! It was a little disappointing that we weren't able to celebrate it together, but the flowers helped and Eric has reassured me that we will celebrate when he gets back.

That's all for now! I hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July!!

Father's Day Weekend

Sorry it's taken me so long to post, but I've been really busy trying to change the website and give it a new look. I am pretty excited about what it is going to look like! So, if it looks funny or things aren't working on it in the next couple of weeks, that's why. It's taking me a really long time to do it, so hopefully it won't be too much longer!

Anyways, we had an awesome weekend! We FINALLY got to float the Illinois river! We left on Friday and came back Sunday morning. The weather wasn't so great, but it cleared up by noon on Saturday so that we could get on the river. It did rain Friday night and Saturday night while we were sleeping in our tent, so we didn't get a whole lot of sleep. We did the 12 mile raft trip on the river which I would definitely not recommend! We were so exhausted by the halfway point! We thought we would never make it! It was a lot of fun though and we met some really cool people. After we got back on Sunday, my family came over and we cooked burgers and made ice cream to celebrate Father's Day. We also played the girls vs. guys scene it game. It was pretty fun.

Eric left at the beginning of the week for his deployment so that's one reason why I've had time to start working on the website. It kinda sucks because he is going to be gone for our anniversary. He says we will do something to celebrate when he gets back, which I guess is better than nothing, but still not the same. Oh well! Anyways, I hope everyone else is doing good! Let me know what you've been up to!

KC-10 Flight

Last Wednesday I got the opportunity to ride on a KC-10 tanker to watch the E-6B(the plane Eric flies) do an air refuel. Every year they try to have some sort of tanker come in to do an air refuel that allows passengers so that spouses and other military personnel can experience it. It was amazing. Even though I know what Eric does, I don't generally think about it too much until I actually get to see one of his planes in action. It was so cool and made me realize how awesome his job is and the precision that it takes. Needless to say I am extremely proud of him!! I took a bunch of pictures and I PROMISE I will post them very soon!

Friday, we went to Eric's squadron's Wetting Down, which is basically a celebration for the guys in the squadron who are getting promoted. It was at a Brazilian restaurant in Oklahoma City. It was a lot of fun and the food was pretty good too!

Saturday, we went to our friend's, John and Dana's, house to swim and cook out. I was able to get a little bit of sun which was nice considering how white I am!!

Sunday, we did a little summer cleaning and cleaned the house from top to bottom. Not too much fun, but it needed to be done! Nick came over later that afternoon and we cooked some burgers and played a little Halo online with Nick and Eric's brothers.

That's all for now! Keep a look out for those pictures though!

Weekend

We had another eventful weekend. Friday, we went to a Hail and Farewell for Eric's squadron which was at a German restaurant in Choctaw. It was really good! After that we went to a friend's house and played a few games. Saturday, we went to Ted's Mexican restaurant to celebrate Kate's birthday. We had a blast! On Sunday, I went to a wedding shower for the girl that I work with who is getting married next month. She also taught me how to make really cute purses last Thursday after work, so I have had a new project to work on! I've already made two, one of which I gave Kate for her birthday. Also, Sunday was Aspen's birthday! She turned 3 years old! We got her a few toys and some gourmet dog cookies. Here is a picture of her with her cookies:
That's our update for now!

Memorial Day Weekend

Well, we didn't go float the Illinois river this weekend because the people we were going with couldn't go at the last minute. We still had a good time though! Eric got back from his deployment late Friday night, so we didn't do anything then, but Saturday we went to a friend's house and swam in their pool and hung out. On Sunday, Eric had a couple friends come over to play some poker. Monday, we went to my sister's house and had dinner and hung out. I have a couple pictures of Max swimming in his pool that I will try to post soon. Not much else going on besides that!
