19 weeks

We had our "big" ultrasound this morning and got a ton of great shots! The baby looks healthy, is still on track for June 23rd, head down(just like Luke), and weighs 10oz! We've discovered that this baby is quite the thumb sucker! There was one point where we could see that the baby had lost it's thumb, tried to latch onto its pinky finger, then found the thumb again! It was sooo cute! Also, the little munchkin kept its legs crossed like a good little baby, so even if we wanted to know the sex, it would've been very difficult! Luke seemed pretty interested at first watching the baby on the screen, then lost interest and decided to flirt with the ultrasound technician and talk a lot of jibber jabber! When we were all done, Eric said sarcastically, "Shoot, I guess there really is a baby in there!" I thought it was cute! Here are the pics we got today:

16 months!

Luke is 16 months old today! Man how time flies! He is really starting to turn into a little boy! What happened to my baby?!! I can't be too upset though considering how wonderful it is to actually have, or attempt to have, a conversation that is at least partially understood, not to mention the fact that he still snuggles with Mommy in the morning with a good sippy cup and sesame street! Gotta love the snuggles! Today he actually counted to 2 and spun his toy top completely by himself! 2!! He can almost use a spoon by himself and is getting really good with a fork! He's been repeating almost everything I say! He really tries, and I think wants to say the alphabet, but is just not quite there yet! He is really starting to soak everything up like a sponge which makes me think I need to challenge him more! He is just so darn lovable and really good at giving hugs and kisses now too! With that, he's also becoming a little more difficult and testy! I think the terrible twos are starting to creep up! He still gets frustrated that he can't communicate everything, such as when he gets stuck in is toy box that he somehow climbed in and wants help out! On top of that, he has 2 new molars and 2 on the way, so not the happiest of campers the last couple weeks. Today, however, was a good day! He was such a happy little toddler!

As for the pregnancy, it is going by WAY too fast! I can't believe I'm already almost halfway there! I'm not sure how excited I am to deal with the stress of taking care of a newborn along with an almost 2 year old, but know it will be totally worth it in the long run! The way this one is kicking makes me a little terrified that it might be just as active and crazy as Luke! I'm not sure how we will be able to chase 2 around like that! At least there will never be a dull moment and we will ALWAYS be entertained! Although I am definitely NOT ready to have this one right now, I also can't wait to find out the sex(no, we are still waiting until the baby's born)! I always love to hear everyone's guesses, so let me know on here, or if you are a FB friend, vote on my poll!

Slacker!

I've been slacking on this blog! I'm so sorry for that! I guess we can start with the holidays?! We went to Colorado for Christmas and had an awesome time! We got to go to a Bronco game while we were there that they unfortunately lost, but was still fun anyways. We went to the Denver zoo to see the Christmas lights and boy was it cold!! We also took Luke for his first sledding experience! He definitely didn't hate it, but I'm not sure he loved it either! On another note, Eric's grandma on his Mom's side hadn't been doing too well before we got there and passed away shortly after we arrived. We were so thankful that we were able to see her before she passed and were able to be there with everyone during that time. We arrived home on the 28th and for New Years Day, we went to my parents where we had Christmas with my family, had lunch, and played their new wii sport game!

Eric's grandma's funeral service was this past weekend and so we flew back to Colorado Thursday and just returned Sunday. The funeral service was beautiful and really special as it was directed by Eric's cousin who is a minister. The trip was mostly uneventful, but we got to see a lot of extended family that I had never met and Eric hadn't seen in years!! Luke did pretty well on the plane all except the last 10-15 min on the descent of the first flight where he screamed bloody murder! He was an angel on the way back though and even got his own seat since the flight wasn't full!

As for the baby, still no new pictures, but the heart rate seems to be maintaining a steady 160 bpm. I've been very anxious to see the little tike since I got so used to all the ultrasounds I received when pregnant with Luke! It's killing me! We should be getting the "Big" ultrasound here though in a few weeks! I'm hoping we will get some good pictures then! That's all the news I have for now! I'll try to post some pictures soon!
